This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement in cooling and heating applications. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, alongside a bronze shaft sleeve for added protection. It is constructed with a mechanical seal featuring a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, while flush seal line taps allow for the installation of a filter to protect the seal. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections, and the unit supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
Powered by a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, drawing 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
