This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, and the internal components are accessible for maintenance without disturbing the system piping.
This pump operates at 1450 RPM and is powered by a 5.5 kW WEG motor in a 132S frame. The motor is TEFC (IP55) enclosed with Class F insulation, a Class B rise, and terminal block connections. The power configuration is 415/50/3 with across the line starting. The motor is B3 foot-mounted and connected to the pump through a Woods coupler with a coupler guard. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan. This unit operates at a 1.0 S.F. in environments with a 40°C ambient temperature and meets IE3 efficiency standards.
