This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge, both configured with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes a 6-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze wear ring. The assembly includes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a Ni-Resist seat, a carbon rotor, and Buna rubber, with a temperature rating of 225°F. The pump casing is constructed with center-line discharge and incorporates pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and NEMA 184T frame. It is configured for a 230-460V/60/3 power supply and meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. The unit includes an AEGIS shaft grounding device and an across-the-line starting configuration. Mounting is provided by a welded base that incorporates a drip pan, a standard coupler guard, and a Woods coupler. This pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.89 and is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature.
