This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 5" suction and 4" discharge connections, equipped with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the shaft. The mechanical seal includes a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The bearing housing contains permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings, and the casing includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 184T frame. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3PH power supply with an across-the-line starting option. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan and a Woods flexible coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This unit maintains a pump efficiency index (PEI) of 0.92 and is rated for operation in ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
