This end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to ensure hydraulic performance. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a seal capable of operating up to 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. This pump includes flush seal line taps to facilitate maintenance and pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring.
Powered by a 10 HP Premium Efficiency motor with Aegis grounding and an ODP enclosure, the pump operates at 3450 RPM on 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
