This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly integrates a dynamically balanced bronze impeller with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that isolates the rotating shaft from circulating fluids. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid containment at pressure ratings up to 125 PSI. A replaceable wear ring and suction and discharge pressure tappings complete the casing assembly, which permits servicing the mechanical seal without disturbing system piping.
This unit operates with a 30 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
