This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring, while the volute design supports center-line discharge for air venting. The design includes an optional bronze wear ring.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding on a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
