This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and cover combined with a stainless steel impeller to manage fluid transfer. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal within a dry shaft assembly rated for 125 PSI. Flush seal line taps allow for the connection of a filter to shield the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems, while pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections provide access for monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
