This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft to minimize corrosion. A mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment, maintaining an operating pressure rating of 125 PSI. This assembly integrates pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
