This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, employing a dry shaft construction that prevents fluid contact with the shaft. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT elastomers seals the assembly, operating at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump incorporates flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation and provides pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The assembly operates with a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI = 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
