This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. A stainless steel shaft, shielded by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact with the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal comprises ceramic and EPT components, allowing for a 125 PSI operating pressure. This configuration permits access to internal components for servicing without the removal of system piping.
The system incorporates a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and operates on a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
