This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges, a 1-1/2" suction, and a 1-1/4" discharge. The unit utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. It is constructed with a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F for clean water applications. The pump includes flush seal line taps for filter installation and pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge simplifies piping layouts and facilitates self-venting.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 2 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a 145 JM frame with feet. It is configured for 230-460/60/3PH electrical service and features AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor meets NEMA standard requirements, provides premium efficiency compliant with MG1-12.55, and operates in a 40°C ambient environment with CCW rotation. This configuration includes an across-the-line starting option and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.86.
