This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, employing a dry shaft design that ensures the circulating fluid avoids contact with the shaft. A mechanical seal serves as the primary closure, constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This pump configuration supports a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The motor operates at 10 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating in a TEFC enclosure at 3450 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
