This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the stainless steel shaft and the circulating fluid through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the pump integrates an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal, which withstands temperatures up to 250°F. This unit maintains a 125 PSI pressure rating in configurations without a wear ring.
The motor provides 7.5 HP of premium efficiency power within a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, 208V, and 3PH input, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
