This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, alongside a bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This design accommodates pressure up to 125 PSI without a wear ring and includes flush seal line taps to permit the installation of an optional filter for protection against non-condensable particles. Integrated suction and discharge pressure tappings are provided for monitoring.
Powered by a 25 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and accepts a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
