This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft arrangement to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which remains protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components isolates the rotating assembly, while gauge ports are present on the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring. This pump assembly supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI.
The motor operates at 100 HP with a premium efficiency rating in an ODP enclosure at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
