This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic and EPT components. The construction includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The motor is a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by 208V, three-phase electricity, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, main disconnect, and drive fusing, holding a NEMA 1 / IP 21 enclosure rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
