This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at a maximum working pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Suction and discharge connections are tapped for gauge ports, and the volute includes a drain port at the casing base to facilitate maintenance.
Operating at 10 HP with Premium Efficiency and a TEFC enclosure, the pump runs at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis Grounding for the 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE: PEI = 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
