This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 6-1/4" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. The internal assembly includes a bronze wear ring and a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit uses a dry shaft design to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid.
This unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 15 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 254T frame. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply with an across the line starting option and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that incorporates a drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The pump utilizes a standard Woods coupler with greasable bearings in the bearing frame. The equipment meets NEMA standard efficiency requirements and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.89.
