This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly contains a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI operating capacity. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. Flush seal line taps allow for the integration of optional filtration to protect the seal from particles in open systems.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly includes Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
