This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction connection and a 2-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal featuring a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid.
This pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor mounted on a 324TS NEMA frame. The electrical configuration is 230-460/60/3PH with an across-the-line starting option and an ambient temperature rating of 40°C. The motor meets premium efficiency standards per NEMA MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that features a drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This unit has a DOE PEI value of 0.9.
