This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. Mechanical sealing utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This pump incorporates flush seal line taps to accommodate filters and provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and accepts a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
