This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge. It is equipped with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and ANSI Class 125 flange connections without a wear ring. The assembly uses a bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. A rear pullout design permits servicing without disconnecting system piping, and the pump includes flush seal line taps to allow for the installation of a filter.
The pump is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure and a 184JM frame style with feet. It operates at 1750 RPM on a 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply with an across-the-line starting configuration. The motor meets NEMA standard requirements and conforms to Premium Efficiency ratings per MG1-12.55. The rotation is CCW, and the pump maintains a 40°C ambient temperature rating. This equipment has a DOE PEI value of 0.93. The pump features pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
