This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, and incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, capable of operation up to 250°F. This unit is rated for 125 PSI and utilizes integrally cast mounting feet for structural support.
The system utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
