This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250 °F. The bearing housing contains sealed-for-life ball bearings and includes flush seal line taps, as well as pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections.
This unit is powered by a 30 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a NEMA 284TS frame. The motor operates at 3450 RPM using a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply. The pump configuration includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring, a Woods coupler, and a welded base with an integral drip pan. It utilizes across the line starting and meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. The pump assembly provides a PEI of 0.95 and is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature environment.
