This close-coupled end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft mechanical seal design utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber to isolate the shaft from circulating fluid, supporting operation up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Flush seal line taps allow for the installation of external filters, while integral pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections permit monitoring of system conditions.
Powering the assembly is a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for use with 380-460V, 3PH power. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
