This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a bronze shaft sleeve. For sealing, the pump utilizes a mechanical design with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This configuration operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are included on both suction and discharge connections, and the casing provides flush seal line taps for the installation of optional particulate filters.
The motor provides 7.5 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating in a TEFC enclosure, rotating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
