This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a dynamically balanced bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal comprises an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat half. Engineered for 125 PSI operation, the pump housing provides gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The 7.5 HP motor utilizes a Premium Efficiency design with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 3450 RPM. It integrates Aegis grounding and accepts a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
