This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal containing a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit employs a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. Pressure tappings are included on both suction and discharge connections, and the casing features integrally cast mounting feet.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 30 HP Baldor ODP motor in a 284TS NEMA frame. This configuration is rated for 230-460/60/3PH power supply and 40°C ambient conditions. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards under MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant guard. The pump is configured for across-the-line starting and maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.93.
