This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a stainless steel shaft to prevent fluid contact. The unit employs a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet on the casing provide structural stability, allowing maintenance without disturbing system piping.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for 200-230V 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
