This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seats and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections are integrated into the casing for system monitoring.
This assembly utilizes a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
