This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal comprising ceramic seats and EPT rubber components. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections facilitate system monitoring.
Power is provided by a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis Grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
