This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction connection and a 2-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It includes a 13-1/2" nominal impeller diameter constructed of bronze, housed within a cast iron casing that incorporates a bronze wear ring. The pump uses a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve in a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections, and the casing includes flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 20 HP WEG motor with a TEFC enclosure, NEMA 256 T-frame, and AEGIS shaft grounding. The electrical requirement is 230-460/60/3PH, and the unit is configured for across-the-line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that features an integrated drip pan and uses a Woods coupler protected by a coupler guard. This model meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and has a PEI value of 0.89.
