This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 1-1/2" suction connection and a 1-1/4" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a cast iron casing. The construction includes a bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents system fluid contact with the shaft and incorporates flush seal line taps for filter installation. Pressure tappings are located on both the suction and discharge connections, and the rear pullout design allows for servicing without disconnecting the system piping.
The unit operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor. It is configured for a 230/460V, 3PH, 60Hz power supply with an across-the-line starting option. The motor is built on a 184 JM frame style with feet and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, including AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature. This model has a Pump Efficiency Index (PEI) of 0.86.
