This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump casing and cover are constructed of cast iron, housing a 13-1/2" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller. It uses a dry shaft design with a replaceable, slip-on bronze shaft sleeve to protect the pump shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal is configured with a tungsten carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and Viton rubber, capable of handling clean water up to 300°F. The unit includes flush seal line taps and a rear pullout design for maintenance access without disturbing system piping.
The pump is driven by a 40 HP WEG TEFC motor in a 324 JM frame with feet, operating at 1750 RPM. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply and features AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor meets NEMA Premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and operates in a 40°C ambient environment. This configuration includes a standard across-the-line starting option and achieves a PEI of 0.92. The pump utilizes a top center line discharge design to facilitate piping layouts.
