This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 6" suction connection and a 5" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a bronze wear ring, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal consisting of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The internal design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The unit features a nominal impeller diameter of 9-1/2".
The pump is driven by a 20 HP, 1750 RPM Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a NEMA 256 T-frame. The motor operates on 230-460/60/3 power and meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. The assembly includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring and a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. The pump is mounted on a welded base that includes an integrated drip pan. The system is configured for across the line starting and operates at a 40 °C ambient temperature. This pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.92.
