This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the circulating fluid from the shaft. A silicon-carbide seat half and EPT rubber components form the mechanical seal, which manages fluid pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. This configuration facilitates maintenance as the unit permits servicing without disturbing existing system piping. The impeller undergoes dynamic balancing to ANSI Grade G6.3 to ensure operational stability.
The motor provides 40 HP with a premium efficiency rating in an ODP enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM and incorporating Aegis grounding. Power is supplied via 380-460V / 3PH input, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
