This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve, which eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are provided for monitoring, and the assembly is rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The 15 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
