This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft construction, which prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft surface. For fluid containment, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components. The casing incorporates integrally cast mounting feet and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring. Rated for 125 PSI, the assembly provides a stable hydraulic configuration with the dynamically balanced impeller.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mech bypass with main disconnect and holds a NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
