This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a 6" suction and 5" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump assembly consists of a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents system fluid contact with the pump shaft. The mechanical seal includes a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250 °F. Flush seal line taps are provided for filter installation, and pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, and the top center line discharge configuration assists with self-venting.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 40 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure. It is configured for a 230-460V/60/3 power supply and uses a 324 JM motor frame with feet. The motor meets premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature and features an across the line starting option. This unit has a PEI of 0.95.
