This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with ceramic and EPT components seals the internal housing. This construction supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI. The design permits service to the bearing housing and internal components without requiring the disconnection of system piping.
The unit utilizes a 60 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
