This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid containment within the unit, which sustains an operating pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
Powered by a 15 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis Grounding and connects to a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
