This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber components to ensure fluid containment. This pump design operates at a pressure limit of 125 PSI and allows for service procedures without disturbing the system piping. Integrally cast mounting feet on the casing support the structure, and gauge ports reside on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
This 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and accepts a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
