This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features an 8" suction and 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze wear ring. The design uses a dry shaft configuration with a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the pump shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly includes a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. This pump incorporates flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disconnecting the system piping.
This pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor. The electrical configuration is 230-460/60/3PH with an across-the-line starting option. The motor is mounted in a 324JM frame style with feet and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature with CCW rotation. The unit has a PEI of 0.93.
