This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and an integrally cast mounting feet design. It utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. This assembly operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and incorporates a wear ring. A silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber component form the mechanical seal to maintain fluid integrity within the pump. The volute provides center-line discharge for air venting, and the system allows for servicing without removing piping connections.
The motor operates at 3 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC enclosure, 1750 RPM, includes Aegis grounding, and supports 200-230V / 3PH power, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
