This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and circulating fluid, protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a mechanical seal assembly comprised of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI with wear ring inclusion. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, configured for a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
