This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, incorporating a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve for maintenance. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides a pressure rating of 125 PSI. This unit integrates a center-line discharge for air venting and includes pressure tappings on both suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
