This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft construction, which protects the stainless steel shaft from fluid contact by utilizing a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, it utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal. This configuration operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and supports parallel pumping and multi-pump control applications.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the system includes Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
