This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while a ceramic seal with EPT rubber provides fluid containment. Operating at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring, this pump includes integrated suction and discharge gauge ports and a drain port at the casing base. The assembly utilizes heavy-duty, permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings within a cast iron housing to maintain hydraulic stability.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
