This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, adhering to a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic for the seat half and EPT for the rubber elements. The pump provides a 125 PSI pressure rating and incorporates a replaceable bronze wear ring. Standard configuration includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system maintenance and monitoring without disturbing existing piping.
The pump operates with a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
